Hola, peeps,
I’m in a bit of a hurry to write today because it’s 9:12, and I totally spaced that my bed time is 9:30. I got all busy going through the food in the cupboards seeing what I need to be eating. 🙃
I gave a gift to the bugs in the woods of about 15 or 20 packages of really old puddings and jellos. Don’t know if they’ll want the puddings, some of them smelled like rancid oil, so… something will want it, I’m sure.
It was another late day of work today, getting home after dark. Funny, as my friend Cory pointed out, things are slower, and yet I’m getting home later?
Right.
I’m not sure exactly how that’s happening right now. A bit odd for sure.
Anyway, David was able to get a full day today, and that was good. I’m glad for that. He’s been working hard, and customers have been happy. He’s also been having some decent money days lately.
Again… funny, fewer customers than usual, but David is making more money on average, and I’m out later than I have been.
Weird.
I’m a good bit behind with my body today. Food intake was good, but liquids was atrocious. I didn’t have a smoothie today, so that was less liquid than I’ve been getting. I’m churning through the old cans of chili. There’s a whole ton to eat through from years ago. Eaten three cans a day the last two days. Had the leftover grits this morning with a quarter pineapple and a can of rinsed peaches as the added flavors.
Anyway, got up at 5:30 again. Tossed and turned a bit last night. Don’t remember why. Had a hard time falling asleep even though I was tired. Did my servicize, making some progress on the project I’m doing. It’s really slow going and hard work, which is good, since it’s doubling as my morning exercise. 😊
For my outside 5×5, I’ve been weeding the garden where the tomato plants go. Those grow boxes didn’t get the covers put over them, so the weeds went crazy there, as well as a volunteer cherry tomato plant or two. I’ve got a couple more sections to weed before those are done and cleared out.
Anyway, it’s been a long day. Good day. Long day. I was less patient today, and I don’t have any idea why. I even had a couple of fliers today. Yeah, a lot less patient. Weird.
I guess today is the day of weird.
Tomorrow I’ve got to finish making a police report for a guy who’s stealing from me. He wrote a check, and then put a stop to on it. It’s a bit of a pain… He lives way out in the middle of nowhere and begged me to go all the way out there, and then he had no intention of paying me at all, apparently. Won’t answer his phone, so I called his bank and found out he’d put a stop on the check.
Yeah. Not cool.
It’s not a huge deal, but it is a few hundred dollars, and… yeah… if he’s done it to me, he’s probably done it to others. There was another contractor out there the same day I was there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he cheated that person, too.
Anyway, so I’ve got to drive all the way out there again tomorrow to make my statement. It’s almost not even worth it, but as someone else pointed out, if he’s not stopped, he’ll probably do it to someone else, so, it’s almost a moral obligation? If that makes sense.
Anyway, I’m running out of time. 9:27.
#1. I’m grateful that David was able to get a full day today.
#2. I’m grateful for the AutoZone peeps, for their help and friendship.
#3. I’m grateful that I was able to get the big job done up in Bella Vista. He drove until his pads were metal on metal, and then he kept going, and he ended up ejecting a pad completely. It was a long job, replacing the calipers, too, but it was a good job, and he was happy.
#4. I’m grateful to have so much food. I talk about going through all of it, and honestly, it’s a blessing to even have it. So many people live paycheck to paycheck without savings or storage, and here I am, blessed, lucky, etc.
#5. I’m grateful that my body seems to be coming back from having gone over the edge. Since it was purely a hydration issue today, I think that’s making it easier to come back from.
Well, folks, nothing amazing to report today. I memorized hymn #7, reviewing all the ones I’ve learned so far. I reviewed scriptures as well. Worked. Worked. Worked. And tomorrow is my day “off.” I’m looking forward to that.
Loves and hugs, you wonderful people you. 😊
Lift the World.

p.s. I saw an armadillo in the yard when I got home. It was a lot more shy than the last one. The last one let me follow it around a bit. This one, it ran pretty quickly. Still… fun. 😊
Hey, Stephen, just a thought about the guy who stopped the check. Did you call him and ask him why? Maybe he was in a pickle. It doesn’t make stopping the check right, but maybe he just needs to work out payments or something and didn’t have the courage or the belief in the possibility to ask? In my life, I’ve only ever met two people who were hollow where their rights/wrongs should be. I still try and believe that everyone else is usually doing what they think they have to do. Yes, maybe mistakes, but mistakes out of ignorance or fear. And who hasn’t made those?
You rule. Great thinking. I think since I learned, after he told me that there shouldn’t have been any problems with the check, that he had actually stopped the check and lied about it, that he was actually intending to steal from me. Hadn’t seen crossed my mind that there could be another alternative. Much appreciated! Don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind. Thanks!!!
