2020-10-24 — Tired

Hey, folks.

I’m exhausted.

I got to bed right about 1 this morning, and I ended up sleeping in until 6:30, feeling like it was more important to get more sleep than to make sure my routine was perfect this morning. I’ll probably do the same thing again tonight, as I don’t exercise on Sundays–well, not cardio. I will probably walk all over creation thinking and pondering.

Anyway, I’m glad I slept a bit later this morning. I was just hammered.

I still am.

I worked a 14-hour, or so, day today after an even longer one yesterday. Yeah… long days. I had some flashbacks to when living like this was the norm. I don’t really want to go back to that. Yesterday was sort of a fluke, trying to help that lady (she was super grateful, so that was something).

Today… we had a super packed schedule with an opportunity, I thought, to break some records. We didn’t end up breaking any records, but it was a very good work day–two days in a row.

I didn’t have much of a morning routine at all today, though. Gotta make sure I get on that tomorrow, so I don’t lose the habit.

So so easy it is for me to lose habits. I can bust my butt to establish them, and then, boom, gone in a flash.

Nope. Ain’t gonna let that happen here. Morning routine will be back in full tomorrow, albeit perhaps starting a little later for my body’s sake.

Ok. I’m hammered. Totally hammered. Off to bed I go.

Wait…

#1. I’m grateful that it’s Sunday tomorrow. I had a lighter week in a lot of ways, but I’m still just totally hammered. I’m grateful for a day of rest.

#2. I’m grateful to have stayed relatively warm on a day that was quite cold again. I do look quite… unprofessional, though. I probably ought to fix that one of these days soon. Harder in the winter time. I don’t own much in the way of winter work wear–some long johns, but not even enough of those. I usually just freeze and then try and warm up in the car.

I know. Genius, right. 🙃

#3. I’m grateful for my bags of frozen fruit. It’s good stuff to snack on. Love me my frozen mangoes.

#4. I’m grateful that it’s been a while since I’ve been sick (like cold kind of thing). Knock on stuff.

#5. I’m grateful to be remembering to reach out to my friends and family more. My Google Calendar notifications aren’t working. I’m not sure why. I’d be even better at it right now if those were working, but I’m happy I’m remembering a bit even ithout the programmed reminders.

Well, folks… I’m crashing. Exhausted. Time for bed.

Loves and hugs.

Bring it on.

Lift the World.
