Can anyone guess what the x-rays of my finger found?

Bet you can’t guess!!

Looks like you actually did. Drumroll, please! ba ba da ba! Nothing! Medically, the terminology is “unremarkable.”

In this particular case, though, it’s probably a good thing that the x-rays didn’t find problems. Nice to know the bones are all where they’re supposed to be. 😊 I’m guessing maybe I shredded the cartilage and maybe the ligaments as well (good possibility). Or maybe it’s just a really brutal injury trying to heal with pockets of liquid trapped here and there from being swollen. I’m hoping for the latter. The next step is the appointment with the surgeon, and that will likely lead to either a “just wait it out and work it out, and it’ll be fine” or an MRI with the hopeful result of “unremarkable.” Otherwise, it’ll be surgery. Aaaaaaaaaand!

#1. I’m grateful that I have good “insurance,” my annual share amount having been reached already, that everything else will be free from here on out until next July, I think. So grateful to have that. Could be thousands and thousands if I need an MRI (almost certainly with contrast) and possibly surgery. The last MRIs I got were like $3400 each! Anyway, yeah. Grateful.

#2. I’m grateful that I had a couple of relatively easy jobs today. Things have gone quite south lately with work (super super slow), and it’s been hard to get David enough work, so I’m just paying him out of my pocket, pretty much. But I’m able to, and today I made at least a little bit of money. I think? Whereas, yesterday I think I lost money. But today I made at least enough to pay David, I think, and maybe even make a couple bucks myself. He’s making more than I am right now, I think, but… whatever. He’s made me lots of money this year.

#3. I’m grateful to have tasty food. Love me my frozen poison mango chunks. So good. Sooooo good. Mom is discovering new recipes and ingredients and all sorts of tasty options to spice up the veggie life. Kind of fun.

#4. I’m grateful to have had a warmer day today. That’s nice. 60s today. Was beautiful.

#5. I’m grateful to have built more of friendship relationship with David now. It’s still owner/employee, but he knows that my taking care of him and his family is higher on my priority list than my making money, and I think that speaks to him and has changed how he looks at things over time. It’s good.

  1. Hey, Stephen!

I’m behind on your posts here, but I’m so glad to hear that the bones in your finger are okay! 🙂 I’ll be hoping for that “unremarkable” report about your tendons and ligaments – *along with* some great healing in the mean time!
