Well, I didn’t think I was going to be able to, but I just about took the day off today, and it felt great! Busiest day of the week, and I took it almost completely off. 🥳
I did one job, which turned out to be a lot easier than expected. It took just over an hour. The other guy didn’t call by the expected hour, so I called and told him I was heading home to be with family, and boom, I went home for the rest of the day.
Actually… honestly… it felt a little weird. Might not make sense, but it felt weird to not be working…which means I’ve been working way too much. 🙃
Which of course has been obvious to everyone, including me.
I helped Liz assemble her new lawn mower. I made a tiny bit of progress on the Terrain Timing job. I bought a handful of things I’ve needed. I went up to the family Easter party. I played basketball with Rhett. I finished putting the catalytic converter on my Versa (still has an unhappy engine tick. Not sure what that is, honestly… hope it’s not a major issue).
Oh… and it was General Conference today, so that was 6 ish hours of listening to good stuff. I wasn’t as focused as I wanted to be, so I didn’t get as much out of it as I would have liked. But it was good.
I’m tired, and guess what? I’m gonna sleep until I wake up naturally. No alarms. No schedule. No pressure. Just… sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.
😊
I’m gonna get back on track. It’s so hard for me, as I’m sure it’s quite easy to see if you’re reading my posts regularly. I want to be posting more heartfelt, more meaningful things. Lately, it’s just been almost maintenance–make sure I write something so I don’t lose the habit. We’re at over a year now without missing a day, having written every single day before going to bed for the night. I almost missed it once or twice the last few days. I was so tired that I’d forgotten.
Anyway, time for sleep.
Loves and hugs. Better stuff coming.
Lift the World.
