It wasn’t the number of cars fixed in a week. It wasn’t the amount of money made in a day. It wasn’t the number of days free from TV.
No… it was ticks!
My record for the largest number of ticks pulled off of me in a single day is, I believe, 53.
Dwarfed. Shattered. Demolished.
I mean… It wasn’t even close. Cory and I went on a walk around the property here so I could show him Haven Hill, and at some point, I looked at his socks, for whatever reason I don’t even remember, and I looked like they had a little dirt specs all over them. But when I looked close early at his socks, it wasn’t dirt specs: It was ticks.
😶😶😶
The little teeny baby ones that are the size of a grain of pepper or smaller. How many were there on him? Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the number was in the four digits. At the very least it had to have been hundreds and hundreds. My guess is it could have been a thousand or more.
It. Was. Insane.
Other than that, I’m pretty tired right now, so I don’t have much I want to write. I’m really tired. I only got like 4 hours of sleep last night maybe three and a half. Maybe three. And I didn’t take a nap today, so I’m about ready to keel over.
10:40 is better than after 5:00, right?
Honestly, I’m a little depressed right now. Probably has a bit to do with being as tired as I am. But it’s obviously a lot more than that as well. And I’m a bit discouraged that I haven’t been able to give Cory The experience here that I hoped he could have. First, I was out working when he got to turn. Then there was yesterday’s 19-hour work day with me, and then thousands of ticks, and… yeah. Don’t think it’s really bothered him much, but it’s really hit me hard.
Anyway, time for bed. Grateful to have Cory here. Nice to have a good friend to spend time with. I don’t get to connect with close friends very often.
Good night, all.
Lift the World.

Oh, ticks! How do you pull such tiny ones? Are they too small to bite? Hoping you have a blessed day tomorrow!
Just scratch off with your finger nail is all we did. Not too small to bite. Nutty.
Holy moley!
