Took a really big hit today. I think I know why Google removed my business listing. Someone else now legally has the name. Direct competition. My same area. The name I’ve been known as on Google for five years. They have it. All my reviews. Gone. They’re starting over with my name and brand new reviews, and I’ve got… nothing left from my business listing. No reviews. Everyone who knew that name now will call him instead.
Wow.
It’s all because of my own errors, but… it hurts. Badly.
Mobile mechanics are popping up all over, and… this… hurts. It’s one thing to have competition. It’s another to lose all my reviews and history on Google and have my name recognition taken.
I’m really discouraged. Life has been hell for… so long… and now this… I just… I’m so discouraged. So tired. So so so so so tired of life.

Oh, Stephen! There are no words…how devastating. I can’t even imagine how that could be possible. I know it’s probably too soon for advice, but could you reach out to the person? Meet over coffee and explain what they’ve done face to face? My heart is with you.
I chatted with him this morning over facebook. He didn’t do it intentionally, and he really does own it fair and square. It’s just my lack of doing what I should have done a long time ago. But I don’t want to be a mechanic anyway, so the only thing I’ve really lost is the value of the business, which you knows how much it’s worth, if anything. A one-man business is probably going to be hard to sell.
