2021-11-03 — Early to Bed

Happy Wednesday. 😊

I’m really tired. 🙃

So… right into it. Daily report!

  • Still getting up at 5 every morning! (or a handful of minutes after 5)
  • Doing my 5x5s (though I haven’t been good at setting my timer, so I’m taking a lot longer than I should. 🙃)
  • Meditation, check. Breakfast, check. Working on the NP, check. Working on taxes, check.
  • No TV, movies, news, sports, porn–nothing. Not wasting my precious life at all in the things that are not a part of what I want for my life.

Progress.

Had lunch today with Steven, the gentleman I mentioned before. Great conversation. We went to Pattaya in Rogers, and we talked for like three hours. Good stuff. He invited me to do a 10-day stoic challenge with him, so that should be fun. It includes things like “take a cold shower,” I think, which makes me smile. He and I are similar, I think, in our efforts to improve ourselves.

Fun stuff. I think we’re gonna have lunch again next week. Should be great. 😊

Well, my lovelies. What a beautiful life.

Oh!!! Feedback, suggestions, creative hearts and minds solicited. For years and years now, I’ve wanted (and should have done long ago) to create little cards (maybe business-card sized) with uplifting messages on them–things like “Thanks, for being a bright spot in my day today.” Just little heartwarming things to lift and encourage and give thanks and whatever else that might come up in the course of running into people when you’re out and about doing things. Any thoughts? Suggestions? I’m gonna design a few, have them printed on business cards, and have them at the ready to brighten days.

Also! Any t-shirt ideas of little encouraging/uplifting messages that are inspiring and in no way negative at all (e.g. messages that assume you’re not doing something, such as “start being kinder” would be out. Even “Be kind” would probably be out… soft, gentle, uplifting, encouraging action thought-provoking or action messages.

Anyway, Steven seems interested in helping with my nonprofit, so that could be cool. 😊

Ok, love to all.

  1. Wonderful! There are some great billboards in PDX with uplifting messages – always brighten my day. They’re put up by The Joy Team. Check it out!

  2. That is such an awesome idea. I know a lot of people that would love to get a little encouraging uplifting message. It will touch people without even realizing how much.
So proud of you! Esp for cutting out all those things that just waste life away.
