So… About 3 a.m. this morning, as I was getting ready to go to bed, I decided to spend a few minutes to actually look at my flight and travel information. I hadn’t looked at anything really at all since I saw the deal and paid the travel agency and bought the plane tickets.
So what did I find when I started looking back through everything?
Well, for starters… I realized that the trip doesn’t actually start on Monday. Nope… I leave for the airport in 3 1/2 hours for a 6 a.m. flight.
Oops. π
So, instead of spending the day finalizing my 2019 taxes and getting back going again on my 2020 taxes, I stayed up until about 5:00 trying to figure out all the travel stuff, but it was pretty ridiculously complicated, and I was overwhelmingly tired and frustrated with how complicated the travel stuff was and how poorly organized the information was that was sent to me about the trip (breath)… So I went to bed.
Was hard to fall asleep with my blood up as much as it was with the super confusing travel stuff, but I finally managed.
I got up and proceeded to spend all day prepping for the trip. I went through all the flight and hotel information. I had to buy travel insurance because the online form was programmed to require 17 days instead of 14 days for getting the vaccine before going to Costa Rica.
Anyway… dumb, but buying the insurance was the best option. Didn’t want to risk anything.
So I got my health pass. I bought a document pouch to go under my clothes. I bought some bug spray stuff, some clothes, some food, and some other stuff.
Had a heck of a time getting my Z4 back up our snowy driveway. Took me like 6 six tries, plus a heck of a lot of spinning of the tires before I finally made it all the way to the top.
Anyway, it’s 11:30, and I need to go to bed, so I can at least get a couple of hours sleep before I need to leave for the airport.
I guess I’ll be back at the tax and finance stuff when I come home. I’m getting a bit excited. We’ve got hotel stays in San Jose, in La Fortuna (by the volcano), and on the beach a little southwest of Liberia. Should be fun. π
Not sure how the posting will go. Myself provider told me that I have international coverage as part of the plan, so hopefully I’ll be able to keep posting. If not, then I guess I’ll post each one of my daily journal entries all at once when I get back. π
Love and hugs to all y’all. π
