Hola, peeps!
Late to bed last night after working on taxes and then spending a good little while sending detailed messages to my programming team manager. Busy busy busy.
Didn’t sleep so well. Haven’t for a little while now. Not sure what the deal is. Maybe I’m just getting old. 🙃
Let’s see… today… I thought I was going to go out and fix cars, but I ended up spending pretty much the entire day pounding through tax/finance stuff for 2021. In the process, I found some errors with what I’d done for 2019 and 2020, and I corrected those for my accountant.
So crazy.
Anyway, I’m making really good progress on 2021. It’s easier to remember stuff because it’s rather recent. I was better at recording stuff after the debacles that were 2019 and 2020. I didn’t entangle myself in ridiculously complicated situations, having learned at least a little bit from my previous mistakes. It’s just… going more quickly–gratefully. I really think there’s a good chance I get this done by this coming Monday.
If I do… wow. 🙂 There will still be a ton of cleanup to do with odds and ends and whatnot. I still have lots of messes to clean all the way back to 2019 and maybe before, but the heaviest burdens I’ve been carrying will be done. There won’t be huge projects to do, just a ton of smaller ones that I’ll knock out little by little.
The tunnel… is getting brighter, and the light is getting bigger.
🥳
I should have some good time this week to keep pounding through the tax stuff, as the weather is turning violent and then really cold (hence the violence). We’re under a tornado watch at the moment, as the cold front coming in is slamming into the warm front that we’ve been having (it was upper 60s today, and it’ll get down to the teens by tomorrow night sometime I think.
Arkansas winters are goofy. Up and down and up and down and up and down.
Anyway, with the violent storms, and the rain, and then the snow and whatnot, I’ll probably have at least two more days this week that I can dedicate to plowing through tax stuff. Push push push push.
I’m starting to get a little excited. My world is going to open up significantly in the very near future. I’ll be able to go anywhere, do anything, because I’ll be free of the chains I bound myself with.
Definitely looking forward to that. 🙂
I’ll have to get my modern English alphabet off the ground. I’ll have time to start my nonprofit. I’ll have time to travel the world again. I’ll have time to find myself someone to share this life with. That last thing would be… the dream come true.
Anyway, I’m grateful for the progress.
In other news, my mom and I have been immersing ourselves in Spanish. It’s hard because our vocabularies are lacking significantly with the everyday stuff that makes up life these days. My Spanish is from 20 years ago, and even though I was solid back then, my how life has changed! So many words I don’t know because the tech world exploded while my Spanish barely made it past Y2K! 🙃
It’s fun though. I found myself acting out stuff for my mom to help teach without speaking in English–reminded me of the time I spent as a Spanish teacher for a private high school years ago. That was one of my favorite things ever. I absolutely loved teaching Spanish. I gave the students an immersive experience. We didn’t speak English. Even though it was first year, level one, beginner Spanish, it was immersive, and they learned so quickly. It was super cool.
I miss that a bit.
Fun to be back trying to immerse myself again, though.
Okay, I best be getting my rear in bed. Gotta get some sleep before the tornadoes come and wake me up! 🙃The worst of the violent storm I think will be the next 3 hours or so.
Love to all y’all. Got something hard you’re trying to push through? Stay the course. You’ll get through it. My tax hell is cooling off. It can be done. Push on. 🙂
Lift the World.
