Well, the day wasn’t quite… Yeah.
I had more than one car on the schedule, but I only got one car done.
I think I ended up spending 10 hours? On one brake job. They had driven until they had ground through their pads, their rotor until it ejected the pad, and all the way to the point that the caliper piston exploded and sent brake fluid everywhere.
Took a sledgehammer to get the old parts off, had to wait for a brake hose to come in… Took several hours.
The new parts weren’t built properly, so that took forever to figure out and get resolved.
Once everything was back together, I tried to bleed it, but it just wouldn’t bleed. I don’t even know how many electronic bleed cycles I went through. Again and again and again and again I tried to get the air out. It would only come out little tiny bits at a time.
One of the bleed screws was completely clogged up with dirt because they drive on dirt roads a lot and the nipple faces up, and the cover wasn’t on the nipple.
So I had to take that out and clean it out.
Eventually, I gave up. I got the truck to the point where it’s drivable, but they’re going to need to take it somewhere and have it power bled the rest of the way.
Very very very frustrating day.
One job. Got there at like 10:30. Left at around 9:00 I think… Something like that.
Struggling.
Worked on nonprofit stuff a little bit today. Making just tiny bits of progress. But I guess it’s something…

Lift yourself. You can do it. 🙂

I really appreciate the encouragement right now. Every day I’m dying a little more inside, so the kind words and encouragement lift me a little bit when I’m down.
