(written en la madrugada de Monday the 3rd)
What can I say, the day was spent mostly in my recliner doing property taxes. 🙃
Last year, I didn’t go back through everything to remove tools I no longer had. I just ate the cost of the property taxes for them because I was stressed out, And I had put off getting them done until the very end. So I didn’t want to take the time to figure out what tools I no longer had.
It’s like a 17-page list of tools because Arkansas makes me account for every single tool.
I have lots of tools. 🙃
This year, though, I wasn’t in the mood to pay the extra taxes that I didn’t actually owe, so I spent the day going back over my list of tools and removing the tools that I no longer have. Once that was done, I started going back through all my receipts, digital and otherwise, looking for tools that I had bought since the last property tax submission last year.
I got done with everything with only enough time to print out the property tax form And make it to the revenue office by the skin of my teeth.
Except…
I accidentally printed the file incorrectly, and then when I tried to cancel the job, it turned into a pain in the butt issue that took so much time that there was no way I was going to make it to the revenue office in time to turn it in.
Which would mean I would be paying an extra 10% penalty for a late submission.
Except… When I realized I wasn’t going to make it on time, I tried to look up what I could online, and I found that because of the tornado, the revenue office was closed, and by executive order of our governor, they had bumped the due date for turning in our property taxes to the end of June.
😶
All that work today, And all that stress over not making it to the revenue office on time, And it wasn’t even due today… but I guess I’m glad it’s done. 🙂
🥳

Ach, Stephen! I’m glad it’s done, too! I know about whole days and 24-hr plus periods stuck in a chair working as furiously as fatigue will allow.
So glad it’s done! So sorry you didn’t know about the Governor’s executive order in time to stress less. Glad you have time to go over things.
Love you brother.
