Man, time is flying.

Busy day today. I got my butt out of the house working on stuff today. 🎉

I didn’t go to bed till the sun started coming up, and then I think I slept maybe 4 or 5 hours before getting up and working.

I had done a little bit of work with JustAnswer in the middle of the night last night, so I had a few questions to follow up with today when I got up.

After getting up, I started going through my books to decide which ones I’m going to keep and which ones I’m going to get rid of. I’m keeping probably about 60% of my books.

Compared to the number of books I used to have, I’m down to maybe one bookshelf worth.

Pretty nutty.

After going through the books, I headed outside and started working on a few different projects at once. I started Trying to burn down the weeds in the garden. Ever since we found out we needed to move, the garden has basically been overrun by weeds as we focus on other things.

It had gotten to the point that it was basically one big weed patch, the walkways worse than anything else. 😕

So I started building a little fire on the walkways in the hopes of scorching david enough to kill the roots are underneath the patio stones.

So I started that fire, and while I was slowly stoking that from time to time, I started weeding all around the root cellar, because it looked absolutely awful with all the weeds going nuts there as well.

I started cleaning up the PVC pipe that I’ve had sitting there for a long time, the rotting pallets that have been sitting there for a while, and other rotting wood left over from grow boxes.

Then I went inside the root cellar and started cleaning it completely out. I pulled out everything that was in there and put it on the grass next to the root cellar– well, everything but the floor tiles that are in there. Those should stay with the house because I believe they are leftovers? I don’t remember for sure.

Anyway, I got that all cleaned out, all the extra lawn mower parts that I had stashed in there as backup parts. I had bought A riding lawn mower that was nearly identical to hours about that had a blown engine, and I took it all apart, storing all the other parts in the garage and the root cellar for when I might need them.

It was a good move, as I’ve cannibalized many parts to fix ours.

Anyway, I got the back of my pickup truck loaded with field fence and PVC piping and other stuff from the cleanup efforts.

I continued stoking the fire with branches and what not, and then I started weeding our jungle of a garden.

Everything’s gotten so out of hand, and I don’t want to leave the property looking the way that it does. I want Jenna and Zack to be able To come in and garden and not be overwhelmed by the massive project that it would be just to get it back to a reasonable place of maintenance.

So I weeded, and weeded, and weeded, and weeded some more. I tried to be careful because both of my thumbs are messed up and my right pinky is messed up, but except for one pole where I pissed off my pinky, for the most part, I didn’t cause any harm to my hands, I don’t think.

🤞

Wish I knew what was wrong with my pinky.

Doctors. 😶

More doctors.

The medical field and I don’t get along.

I’d like to buy my own x-ray machine and my own MRI machine. 😆

Maybe I can. 🙃

Then I can charge cheap MRI rates and pay for my machine in the prices and get all the MRIs I need. 😆

I’d like a full-body MRI. 🙃

Anyway, I made super good progress on the garden. There’s still a long way to go, but I got a lot done. 🥳

Getting out and getting moving was good, kind of, for my back. It he held the hip, knee, and ankle pain at bay. The sciatic pain is coming on right now as I’m writing this, And my back is hurting a bit, but it’s better right now than it was. 😅

  • I’m grateful that, at least the best of my knowledge, I didn’t get bitten by any brown recluses while cleaning out the root seller. 🎉
  • I’m grateful that I was able to make great progress reclaiming the garden. Just like last year, our pepper plants are going like gangbusters. They’re so full of peppers that they’re just lying on the ground. 😅
  • I’m grateful that I was finally able to make decisions about the books. It’s hard to get rid of the books I’m getting rid of, but I’ve made the decisions, so that’s something.
  • I’m grateful for all the people that have come to help us move. It’s been super super helpful. Lots of great people. 😊

Feeling a bit more upbeat today having gotten out of the house and gotten moving productive things.

🥳

Lift the world.

  1. I love you, Stephen! I love the up-to-date posts. 🙂

I wish there was something I could do to alleviate any and all or your pains, physical and otherwise. I think your own MRI machine sounds like a great idea!!!

Sending lots of love and big hugs!! 🙂

    Love you, brother!
