(written on September 30th from notes taken previously)
[It’s been so long that I don’t remember most of what happened today. I have notes, but they don’t really mean much of anything to me, because each note is pretty much just one word. π…π]
I spent some time veging in the morning. I chatted with my mom a bit. I helped my friend Miguel at his shop for a few hours, and I spent a good bit of time looking for a place for my mom and Thomas, including homes and land to buy.
With my mom and Thomas needing to move, and with rent prices being so high, basically mortgage level, it just seems smarter to buy.
I’ve spent the overwhelming majority of my adult years waiting to buy, because I thought my life was going to go in a different direction than it did. But my life hasn’t gone in that direction, and it doesn’t appear like it’s going to, so… should I buy a place, at least for my mom and Thomas to live in?
I’m definitely looking into it, and pretty seriously. Talked to multiple realtors today, and my sister Heather and I messaged links to houses back and forth.
I don’t want to live in Arkansas, but if I could find a place for my mom and Thomas, and they could cover at least a decent chunk of the mortgage payment, then I think it could be really good?

They wouldn’t ever have to worry about having to move again, because the house owner wanted the house back, wanted to sell it, etc. There could be a greater sense of stability. π€
We’ll see how it goes.
On the way back from Miguel’s shop, headed back toward Pea Ridge, chatting with my mom, and then stopping off at a house that is for sale (805 Todd Circle). It’s in a nice-looking house, and it’s a quiet neighborhood–a circle (obviously π), and the house is pretty much exactly the halfway point of the neighborhood, so almost no cars are going to drive by, because the fastest way out of the neighborhood for everybody else (except the house right across the street) is away from the 805 house, either one direction or the other. π
The homes are all nice looking and something like 20 years old? So… they’re modern, but they’re also well established?
After looking at the house, I headed over to Haven Hill, spending some time at my storage shed and then chatting a bit with Jim before heading back into Pea Ridge to hit up the Neighborhood Market.
I decided to stay on the hill tonight, so after buying what I wanted to buy, I headed back to the hill, veged out for a bit and crashed for the night.
Lift the world.
Bring it on.
