(written on the 23rd, 30th, and 31st from notes taken previously).
It’s only a little bit past 8:30. I’m super tired, and I really don’t want to write in my journal. 😅
But that’s when habits get formed, right? when you’re willing to do what you don’t want to do when you don’t want to do it.
Discipline.
…
😆
Funny. So much for discipline. 🙃
I started my day out pretty well with my dailies, so that was good at least. 🎉
Have had a friend on my mind a lot more lately. Seems like each time I feel like I get closer to God, for some reason, I start thinking a lot more about that friend, even though I haven’t seen or spoken with her in years.
Hit me pretty hard about 7:30 this morning.
Spent some time working on my scripture memorizations, trying to get in the habit of doing my physical therapy.
I think I’m starting to remember why it is that I’ve had so much trouble doing my physical therapy. If I actually do everything that I’m supposed to do, it’s multiple hours a day, I think.
So hard to put my life on hold, especially when I have almost zero faith that it’s going to do any good for me. Generally, the physical therapy exercises that I’m given cause more pain, the opposite of what they’re supposed to do.
I put the halter on River and walked him out to munch on the grass. While he was munching, I saw my neighbor return from his airplane flight, and so I left River munching and wandered over to chat with my neighbor.
I chatted with him for a little bit, and then briefly helped him with his plane. The rear wheel that swivels like a grocery cart wheel wasn’t swiveling properly, so he lifted up the back end of the plane, and I slid a brace underneath, so the wheel could be off the ground to mess with.
With River out and wandering around, I left pretty quickly to keep River close to home.
I then started working a bit trying to fill in the low spots from the dirt work that I did last fall. The dirt has settled a fair bit, and I want to make sure there aren’t any low spots on the septic channels where water could collect.
Unfortunately, I can’t really do much lifting, so I used the tractor to fill the dump cart, and then I pull the dump cart by putting my body in sort of a bowing position, so when I pull the dump cart it actually lengths my spine instead of compresses it.
I did that for a while and then switched gears to working on my little project of closing up the skylights in my van for the summer.
I don’t want to make a permanent change, as it’s nice to have the skylights in the winter time. It’s nice to have the extra warmth when it’s cold. 🙃
I had some leftover pieces of velcro from the floppy screen door that I bought and put in last summer, but it was attached to fabric, and I wanted the bare velcro; so I removed the fabric from velcro.
Spent a little while talking to Cory, continued working on the dirt work after a break from it. Talked to Heather a little bit and then started looking into potentially buying into the Corolla in Nevada maybe an hour or so west of Casper. With gas prices the way that they are, if I start driving to Casper on a regular basis again, that’s going to be pretty pricey. I think last year it was $80 each trip? This year, with the prices the way they are right now, it’s looking to be about $125 for each trip. 😅
It’s a fantastic price for the Corolla, and part of that I think is because they still owe money on it. I’ve only ever bought a vehicle once before when somebody owed money on it, so I would definitely need to figure out what I need to do to make sure that I’m safe paying it off and then not being left holding the bag, so to speak.
In other news, Heather found a dead baby bunny. 😞
Circle of Life, but sad.
Did some more dirt work. Chatted a bit more with Heather, went to town with Heather and Hans to go on an ice cream run, and then proceeded to nearly make myself sick stuffing myself with ice cream. 🙃

😆
Oh! I sent my friend Nick the Viking a picture of the ice cream, as he and I had shared that tub of ice cream in Tākaka a few months back.
It was something like 3:00 in the morning where he was, so I didn’t expect to hear back from him, but within just maybe a minute or so of sending the messenger message, he called me, and we chatted for a little while.
Good stuff. 😊
After chatting with him, I went back in and hung out with Heather and Hans for a while before finally calling it a night.
Tired. 🙃
Lift the world.
Bring it on.
