2021-03-03 — First Mosquito Bite

Tick yesterday, mosquito today. Must be springing. Was in the 60s today. So nice. So so so nice. 🙂

Let’s see, still not doing so well at the 4:30 and 8:30, but I’m making other improvements. Probably won’t show as much in my accountability summary, but changes of heart don’t quantify so well in numbers.

So… got the house water filter changed this morning. Also drained the water from the house to check the well tank pressure and ended up adding like 6 or 7 PSI to the system, which appears to have increased our water pressure fairly decently, so that’s nice. 🙂

Did a starter, did an alternator, did some brakes…

Chatted with my friend Matt, who’s in Texas, for an hour or so. That was fun. Faced a hard decision and chose to do it. Chose to put my phone on silent while driving to help me quit texting/doing work stuff while driving.

#1. I’m grateful to be making progress with the texting and driving issue. I’ve done super well. I’m committed now. No more fudging. Doesn’t matter how busy I am, how many people pounding the phone lines, I ain’t gonna do it. Gonna be true to what I believe is right. Everywhere. All things.

#2. I’m grateful to have 32 days clean today. Little by little, day by day, we’ll put this one behind me. I’m vulnerable at any moment any day, and I’m gonna remember that, stay vigilant.

#3. I’m grateful to be able to have a job and to be able to provide for myself well when so many are just scraping by.

#4. I’m grateful to be making steady improvements in my life with personal growth. Bring it all on. Whatever experiences are needed, bring ’em on. Only got one life to live. Don’t want to waste it not having become love.

#5. I’m grateful to have had fewer issues with my ulnar nerves since getting my “new” bed.
